We are unfortunately not in a position to pay for an editor on our new podcast as we're not for profit. We aim to use our podcast to provide a platform for lesser heard feminist and gender critical voices and concerns, and hopefully help them to gain much needed attention and support. I am currently editing episodes but would really appreciate some support if someone has the skills and technology to give our episodes a professional finish.
The podcast is called Inciteful Sisters and can be found on spotify, amazon music, or youtube. We also have a podbean page here.
If you have the time to spare and are interested in getting involved, please message me to discuss further. Any support would be much appreciated!
What kind of skills are you looking for? Like someone to cut audio up, remove unwanted parts of the audio, splice audio and audio trimming etc?
So I'm hoping I can do a rough edit where I get the conversation in the order we want it and trim it down, then someone can tidy it up, eg removing the ums, ahs and pauses, and choosing an intro quote as we try to start each episode with a ~5-10 second clip of the conversation to come. Hope that makes sense!
Umm I see... Well I know how to edit videos so editing audio should be pretty similar right? What do you use to edit audio?
It is! I had experience in video editing before this, so I use a video editing software called Filmora. I suppose if you were able to help, ideally what I'd do is do the rough cut and trim an episode as close to size as possible and then send an MP4 file to be edited in whichever programme worked for yourself.
Does that sound doable?
How long is every episode?
We aim for 45-55 minutes per episode and upload fortnightly. We'd be happy even if someone could only support with every other episode.
I've interned at a dubbing studio and have learned a bit about audio editing so will dm you :)
