I'm friends with the president of the WBC and can offer a little insight into this as we've discussed this subject many times. I'd like to think my hardcore gender critical views have nudged him in the right direction on this topic over the years.

Unbeknownst to the WBC, their "women's" world heavyweight champion was a TIM. This was a controversy recently (the boxer in question was no longer the champion by the time the story broke). The boxer didn't address the scandal and just immediately retired. I hate to think about how many women were in unfair fights against that TIM and suffered permanent damage.

That is why the WBC is now in a panic to create a division for TIMs. They know in this super woke culture how much blowback there will be for not allowing TIMs in women's boxing, but on the other hand it's just way too dangerous to allow them. So the WBC is trying to be as delicate as possible about a radioactive issue.

As disappointed as I am that TIMs aren't being told they need to compete against men, there are business realities at play and at least hopefully we won't have another situation of a TIM infiltrating women's boxing and seriously hurting people.

Thank you for your service!!!!!!

Thanks for your insight... Hadn't heard about this secret TIM boxing controversy

Am wondering if this kind of offer will show how unreasonable Translings are when it comes to equality

They don't seem to want their own division, which would be "equal"

However if they are offered their own category by sports associations, then they can decline & not participate if they choose.

When people see them grumble even after being offered their own category, they will just look unreasonable.

As much as I wish TIMs were just told to either compete with the men or not compete at all, if the next best option is a TIM division, you're right that it will expose how little TIMs care about fairness. Their only desire is to dominate women.

T3RRFICDecember 30, 2022

Yes, the whole "3rd space" is something I hear people say who are not involved in this gender debate.

They go "Oh, we should just have a 3rd space" and think this will solve the problem.

If the 3rd space was an option they would consider, we would surely have already started implementing them by now.

MamaGeeDecember 30, 2022

I agree with you ...it's the ideal solution for a lot of problems they cause ...but a third space just reinforces their fear that they cannot "actually be" the gender of their choice. They will resist the heck out of it.

T3RRFICDecember 30, 2022

So true

Accepting a 3rd space would be an admission that they are their own category

They're hell bent on being part of the binary on this one....

Re-enacterfDecember 30, 2022

If people want to see how 3rd space will play out, they just have to look at the mile TIMs took with regard to the words woman and female. Plenty of TIMs and TRAs claiming these males are magically female.

From wiki:

Alejandra Jiménez Ayala (born 29 August 1987) is a Mexican professional boxer. She is a former two-weight world champion, having held the WBC heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018; the WBO super middleweight title from January to March 2020; and the WBC super middleweight title from January to February 2020 after being suspended for a failed drug test.

Jiménez took up boxing at the age of 23 in order to lose weight and went on to become a world champion less than four years later. Before turning pro Jiménez won ten amateur bouts, half of them coming against male boxers.[2] Jiménez is the former WBC female heavyweight champion and the second Mexican born boxer to hold a world heavyweight title, first being Martha Salazar who Jiménez won the title from.[3]

Good on you!!

pennygadgetDecember 31, 2022

Thanks for this perspective.

I still don't see the need to coddle trans people in any capacity. Like....is the average boxing fan going to stop buying tickets/merchandise just because they won't let men in wigs punch women? I doubt a lot of Woke Bros watch boxing.

JACKANDJILLDecember 31, 2022

TIMs have the media, government and universities on their side. Regardless of what actual boxing fans would think, the WBC has to be careful not to create any unnecessary controversy here. As much as I'd love for them to be able to tell the TIMs tough shit, I think giving TIMs their own division (that the TIMs won't want to fight in anyway) was probably the wise choice in terms of being politically correct.

Lee-Side_December 29, 2022(Edited December 29, 2022)

The issue is not that transgender fighters actually want to just fight, they want to invade and subjugate. No solution will do until they can beat women and claim a title for it.

stabbyDecember 29, 2022

It's like they saw Andy Kaufman's bit and thought it was serious. Wouldn't surprise me considering most TIMs have no sense of humour.

MissBehavedDecember 29, 2022

They are just violent men who hate women and want to attack us without repercussions.

ArtemisCitrineDecember 29, 2022

WBC "will issue a ‘global call’ for transgender boxers who want to compete against one another." It will be fascinating to see the response to this. How interested are TIMs in competing, in, in essence, an honest competition between d-list men?

Lilith-FairDecember 29, 2022(Edited December 29, 2022)

I wish them all the luck!! I sincerely mean that because as long as they're not invading women's sports like an invasive specie, I honestly could care less what they do. I'm totally supportive of them getting their own spaces.

One thing I'll say though. Unless the TRAs are sports lovers, and most of them won't be, they'll cheer but will never bother to watch it. I'm going to be brutally honest here to say that women by and large not interested in watching sports is one of the main reasons why women's sports sponsorships and female athletes salaries lag so far behind men's sports.

The TRAs not interested in sports will watch maybe in the very beginning, but will move on and forget about this. And when this trend fades, this category will have miniscule viewers support. Because there are still some sports lovers actually do like watching women's sports because it really does show the best female athletes (as long as no TIM has ruined it by barging in). But true sports fan won't care about trans category because they'll see it as mediocre males competing. They're not interested in watching mediocre athletes male or female. When offered the categories of best male competition and best mediocre males competition, hey'll just watch men's.

And then there'll be 4chan types and Fruit Farmers watching them as a freak show.

vulvapeopleDecember 30, 2022

They don't watch the shows that pander to them either. Transparent was kept alive only as pro-trans astroturfing since its viewership was abysmal.

Carrots90December 29, 2022

Exactly this

Re-enacterfDecember 30, 2022

As long as this "3rd" space is totally separate from the Women's category, and not taking ANY resources from women.

Carrots90December 29, 2022(Edited December 29, 2022)

This is great news

I guarantee that there will be few if any TIM takers.

It’s only affirming if they’re called ‘LAYDEEZ’ and get to bash women

Possibly there will be some transphobic males who want to bash TIMs. Let the TRAs debate the fairness and motivations and safety issues

MamaGeeDecember 30, 2022

I think this is a good solution to a lot of these kinds of problems. Including bathroom and prison ones. Just have a 3rd category...

OranginaDecember 29, 2022

Fantastic! Let them fight each other.

RiothamusDecember 29, 2022(Edited December 29, 2022)

But this will make their peepees sad!

Carrots90December 29, 2022

It’s ok.

these guys always have tissues on hand.

DoomedSibylDecember 29, 2022

Oh carrots, that made me laugh. Thank you.

Carrots90December 29, 2022

You deserve it sis!!

MissBehavedDecember 29, 2022

They can wear a pad to care for that... so I'm told.

pennygadgetDecember 31, 2022

Good. He's smart enough to know that women will die if men are allowed in the boxing ring with them.

fightlikeagirlDecember 29, 2022

Good, hopefully it works out and other sports will do the same.

WatcherattheGatesDecember 29, 2022

Good for them!

sarstanDecember 29, 2022

Well then it's just a second men's or women's category with the men fighting the men or the women fighting the women. It's not needed. It's not wanted. It's so stupid. Just say men fight men and that's it.

Carrots90December 29, 2022

I’m sure they wish they could

delicate_silicateDecember 29, 2022

Right? Just put more stringent drug testing in place. Hire more officials who can do the tests. We can determine sex from blood tests too. These sports organizations are just too lazy and cheap to draw the line. I'm not watching alternative categories based on gender, fuck no.

AltheaDecember 29, 2022

Ideal solution.
