What a dumb question to ask. I'm not diabetic, but I want diabetic people to have affordable access to insulin. Should all non-diabetics just shut up about this issue?

No of course not, only non diabetic women should shut up. Non diabetic men can say whatever they want . That guy wants Alison to shut up if she’s not an Olympian but he feels free to talk all he wants.

Okay, but why did nobody ask, how many fucking Olympic trials has this asshole competed in? The great appeal-to-authority fallacy needs to die already, along with the ungodly willpower of the men who keep bringing it to life.

It's also absurd because, for every Olympian or doctor who pretends they don't know what biological sex is, there are many more who do know and are vocal about it. So called "authority figures" aren't a monolith either, and are at constant disagreement about how things should be done. That should be proof in and of itself that their "authority" needs to be more regularly questioned, but evidently not.

Alison does say that his question is irrelevant to the discussion before she answers and I love her for that.

I can’t believe he didn’t at least Google her name before making that asinine post.

Or just read her Twitter bio! All it would have taken was one click.
