Is it possible to have official bots that do certain functions? For example, anyone can program a bot to run on Twitter or Reddit to do something specific if you @ bot account. Thread Reader App and RemindMe are a popular ones for example.

I think Ovarit could use a bot that, if called in the comments of a thread, grabs the URL of a link and submits it to an archive website like Archive.org or Archive.today. GC content gets pulled from the web often so I think it makes sense. A tricky part could be ensuring the bot doesn't use links that could compromise personal information, like a user describes here.

Just an idea I had. I don't know how feasible it is with the software this site runs on but I think it would be a nice QoL feature.
