It would be nice for moderators to be able to move a thread that's in the wrong circle to a more appropriate circle. I think I read previously in a comment somewhere that since circles are viewed as their own separate federated areas, that the ability to move posts probably won't be implemented.
However, given how often this happens, maybe there's a way to have an agreement between mods that memes can be moved to Radfemmery, translogic content can be moved to TransLogic, etc.? A flag could be added that would notify the destination circle's moderator that the post was moved, and then they can verify that the post fits their circle. (I think it would be a bad idea to hide or freeze the post until a moderator can look at it, but it's important that moderators can see what has been moved to their circle after the fact and be able to take action to move it elsewhere again if it doesn't fit.)
If nothing else, maybe the ability to move posts to o/Women, since that's the catch-all general circle?
Some posts have great comments before a mod notices it's in the wrong circle, and I think it would be nice to be able to keep the comments and move the post, rather than lose the existing discussion or keep the post in the wrong circle.
EDIT: I think this will be important going forward as the site grows, as well. Not just for moving posts from users who haven't figured out the culture yet, but also to migrate subject-specific posts from o/Women or wherever to new circles that match. (For instance, I think there will be a lot of posts to migrate once we have a porn or general sex industry circle.)
