I'm going to be ridiculous and pitch that 14 answer options total would be awesome. The amount of answer options that Tumblr has for its polls seem perfect and I think it's around this number. Six just isn't a lot to work with and especially with a rule disallowing users to link to surveys/Google forms, it'd be cool to have more in the way of polling.

The way that polling is incorporated into this site is awesome because it allows users to have really insightful discussions in the comment thread.

Edit: Looks like they have 12 answer options, not 14. I still advocate for 14!
