Need an app
I would really like to use an app. Although really the site does work pretty well on mobile, apps are nice!
I use Chrome. It has an option when you're on a site to "Add to Home Screen". You get what is essentially a bookmark that looks like an app icon and can be moved around or put into a directory. I did this for Ovarit and it looks like the purple Ovarit icon.
I know, still not an app. But it approximates the convenience of an app.
This has worked pretty well for me too. The site is very smooth on mobile so I have no complaints.
Thanks, I thought about that workaround too, but I can't figure out where I saw the option! I'll try looking harder.
The spinster app was removed from the play store pretty quickly, but they've developed one to be downloaded directly. I was lucky enough to get the app before it was banned and I love it, I would be thrilled to have an ovarit app!
Is there still a way to download it directly? Looking for an iPhone app (idk if it was ever on there).
agreed— although i feel like it would probably get taken down due to men and TRAs throwing hissy fits. i heard how spinster had an app before and it was taken down bc it was radfem centric (don’t quote me, ive only seen posts about it but have never searched to double check)
Of course they did. Grrrr
I hadn't even thought of that. I understand that an app might be awhile in coming because the site is so new, but the fact that it might not even be supported on app stores just makes upset.
