There's a suspicious user that I want to report. Not just a post, but a user. Could we make a report user feature?
For the time being I suggest you report a comment or post of theirs that is specifically an issue. This will help us to see the behavior. If the issue is in private messages you can message the mods of a given sub. Either will put the user on our radar.
Please use the report button on the content, and message the admins by messaging the mods of /o/Ovarit.
Wonder if it’s the same post that I thought completely inappropriate - a series of porny photos?
I looked at the user’s posting history and apart from the inappropriate (imo) one, most other recent comments seem legit.
I dunno, but weird that they’ve posted pics of gender weirdos only in an attempt to see how we react. It went from boring spicy straight, to gay guy with makeup, to porn.
Bloke desperate to make us feel uncomfortable is my guess.
Oh gosh, yes! I’d only clicked on their comments before, not their posts.
You're probably right about the reported post. I looked through and I found some suspicious pattern so I want to be extra cautious and report the user as well.
The obvious trolls/infiltrators/invaders are easy to spot. You can report a single obvious post by them - TIMs or tras.
More dangerous are the "sleeper agents", because their goal - often successful - is to become mods or admins. This is how sites/groups get taken over. These guys will spend 2 or 3 years building a phony reputation, saying all the right things, until they are trusted as "one of us". But they slip occasionally - occasional red flags - and use words, phrases, syntax, lingo, pieces of arguments from the TCult. I think there are a few on here but if you point out the suspect occasional red flags you look paranoid. Which is what sleeper agents count on.
This account was fairly "normal"-ish for the past 3 or so months, but this was a real red flag. I guess sooner we see the true colors the better.
