I was wondering, with no idea of how much work it would entail, if we could have coloured indent-lines marking the level of discussion. Particularly in long threads with multiple indentations due to comments replying to comments, I find myself squinting at the monitor and counting those fine little lines, trying to figure out who I want to respond to. My IDE for programming has coloured lines tracking the indentations. They help.
