Love it or hate it (for the violence, gore, etc.), I always got the feeling this show had some really terfy tendencies. This was just confirmed to me when Maeve said Starlight had galvanized the whole LGB community to demand Vought release her (Maeve), and I couldn't help cackling. Maeve was very explicit in excluding the T in the acronym. I don't read the comics, so I don't know if this is a thing, but what if The Boys is a universe where people just don't have time for gender woo nonsense?

Anyway, this has probably been the best season by far. I get this show isn't for everybody, there's way too much gratuitous mature content, but in a way, I appreciate they don't pull any punches, and even if the plot is outrageous, one thing they've gotten right is that -- call me a pessimist if you will -- people with special abilities would 9 times out of 10 be dangerous, selfish, and narcissistic at worst, and absolutely insufferable at best.
