SensitiveAllen v. Farrow
Is anyone watching? Obviously we are only onto episode 2 which aired last night.
Background: Woody Allen has long been accused of molesting his young daughter Dylan (to say nothing of the step-daughter-adjacent marriage to Soon-Yi).
This has been really fascinating for me to watch because Dylan is only 5 or 10 years younger than me and so it played out before I was “aware”. I saw a couple Allen films in my late teens (Bananas and Manhattan Murder Mystery I think) because I didn’t know anything about him.
And of course Mia Farrow was smeared as the worst type of (abusive) mother by Allen when it all leaked. The series so far has been very enlightening as a grooming, abusive, patriarchal and misogynistic study. Just wow.
