I have been rewatching all the Star Treks and have justs started this one--and it is my favorite Star Trek show. it reminded me of why too me the 90s where way better at showing progressive characters today and why there was no backlash to political correctness that you see today. All the characters are just so rich and full of life---Sisko is black, but the show didn't make a big deal out of this--he just was who he was and a great character. Kira was a female first officer but they didn't do this ridiculous look how strong she is, that you see today. And Jadzia is literally one of my favorite characters of all time and it pisses me off that TRAs try to act like she is trans when she wasn't! I loved the Dax symbiote story line and how they had her have all these lives...and they never, ever did this: She was both a man and woman! See look! It was just seen that she had many lives and that was that.
Adria, the trill on Discovery on the other hand is boring. She is way too much like Wesley Crusher, they make her be ablere talk with her deceased boyfriend which doesn't even make sense, as ghosts really shouldn't exist on Star Trek, and the make this huge deal of her being non binary which is completely meaningless. Just putting her character and saying look! Nonbinary! We are WOKE, isn't interesting, it is boring.
That said, I love all the other characters on Discovery and think Michelle Yeoh is amazing.
They're probably the main demographic in that sub at this point; they keep banning all the real lesbians for being lesbians.
God this is so true and infuriating… being banned from your own space for being whom that space was intended for.
The subreddit "true lesbians" for, well, true lesbians only, was run off reddit back in 2020 for being a hate group.
Men really cannot stand women having lives that don’t revolve around men
