African Folktales Reimagined is a series of short stories on Netflix with 6 episodes. The series combines folklore with modern and sci-fi themes. Every single episode centers women and women's issues, covering things like pregnancy, sex-based opression, domestic violence, rape, how women are blamed for the things men do, and so on. From the very first episode I was hooked and I highly recommend every woman give the series a look. Each episode is in a different language and takes place in a different African country. The episodes are short, you can finish the whole serial in under 3 hours. I think it would be great if we can have a discussion on the feminist themes here on ovarit.
"Rule of Rose is about memories, and how valuable they are, as well as how time and circumstance can soften and change their colors. It's also about childhood friendships. The trust, the love, the innocence; and how little, or how much it can take for things to go horribly wrong."
I appreciate the heart and creativity put into this review, how she truly understands the game and doesn't focus on the controversies or the sensationalism of a 'rare game'. I first played it twelve years ago and yes, she's right, it haunts you forever. And you will cry!
I love this game so much.
