ReviewPEN15 is such a great show.
It really gives such a realistic and nostalgic portrayal of millennial girlhood. Both of the main actors are hilarious and it covers life experiences such as parental separation and divorce, masturbation, peer pressure, sexual coercion, underage drinking, racism, etc. in such nuanced ways. And also includes awkward experiences that I think all of us have gone through at one point or another. Teenage female socialization and its effects are a core part of it.
Such a fantastic show. It's on Hulu, highly recommend.
