I got curious about Death Note and decided to watch it due it being the inspiration for the " Shinigami Eyes " browser extension : https://shinigami-eyes.github.io/

I think it is a fairly well written show... I can see why it is so popular despite being old by now...

Light Yagami and L are both INCREDIBLY intelligent individuals and I enjoyed seeing how they would outsmart each other... Also Misa is such a Pickmeisha for Light Yagami... XD He becomes outright abusive towards her in the end of the series... In the series Misa is the main owner of the " Shinigami Eyes " that the extension is named for and she uses it to easily kill people as unlike Light Yagami she does not need to find out what people's real names are by doing research on them before she can kill them with the " Death Note " ...

Instead all she has to do to be able to kill someone is to simply look at the person's face and she will automatically be able to know the person's real name and use it to kill them in the Death Note...

Light Yagami on the other hand does not have Shinigami Eyes and needs to do research on anyone he wants to kill first to be able to find their real name... Until Misa finds out that the " Kira " that she admires is the handsome young lad Light Yagami and starts simping for him...

She does a lot of the dirty work in other words... All while being mistreated by him and the only reason he doesn't kill her is because she helps him with her Shinigami Eyes power and because Misa's Shinigami friend Rem told Light Yagami it would kill him if he kills Misa... Misa reminds me of Harley Quinn before she kicked The Joker's butt and left him...

Anyone else here decided to watch it due to curiosity about the " Shinigami Eyes "extension thing? XD In the series the Shinigami Eyes can be obtained by a person trading half of their lifespan in exchange for the Shinigami Eyes...

The Shinigami Eyes by themselves do not seem to curse a person to unhappiness but using the Death Note will apparently curse the person that uses it with unhappiness...

The Shinigami Eyes are used to obtain personal information on people that can be used against them but they themselves are mostly harmless...

With the exception of making the person who uses them a bit confused due to the fact that they cannot be turned off apparently... Misa experiences mental confusion when she is among large groups of people as a result of this since she is always seeing everyone's real names and lifespans...
