Chinese TV show on Netflix addresses the practice of marrying off a son after his death for reasons including so he would not being lonely in afterlife. Often, dead women would be married off to the dead son (China had a huge graverobbing of women's bodies problem from this) , but if the family was wealthy enough they might be able to convince a live woman to marry the deceased son and adopt a child in his name, serve the family, and live a celibate life forever in mourning.

The show explores this while taking a supernatural twist; what if the son is actually a ghost AND he is horrible.

It explores female friendships and passes the Bechdel test, despite having romance influenced storyline.

It has a doting mother to her dead son, and a daughter who tries desperately to please mom despite not being a boy, and it was joy seeing the journey of their relationship improve.

I am not wanting to give away too much, but this show is RAVE for me and recommended
