DiscussionTIF in One Piece

Just started watching the new One Piece adaptation on Netflix. As soon as the Koby character came on screen I could tell something was off. Froggy voice with feminine mannerisms, no Adam's apple, looks like a girl.

At first I just thought, no, they cast a feminine-looking gay actor. They wouldn't do that. But I looked it up and sure enough, the actor is a TIF.

Aside from her terrible acting, Koby is supposed to be a man. He isn't a woman pretending to be a man. There are thousands of male actors that could have taken the part. Why do TV shows insist on casting people pretending to be the opposite sex to play characters who are the opposite sex? Now it seems like everything I watch has at least one of these people slipped in. It immediately removes me from the story. I am so, so sick of this.

I'm so tired of this ideology. Is there anywhere, movies, books, TV shows, etc. that we can get away from it anymore?

Exactly

It’s ok for women to be deprived of sex. In fact, and the husband can kill her for straying

But let a wife say no to an additional chore for at the end of doing 90% of the housework men can then cheat, as if they weren’t already

Right? She didn't leave him because he was paralyzed, she's obviously taking care of him, but he expects a "woman her age" to shut everything down and be a nun. He could look the other way and be grateful she wants to stay with him and take care of him.

Exactly.

The song disgusts me for many reasons, one being my knowledge that some men could like his song yet call it ‘abuse’ and justification to cheat if the woman isn’t his personal fleshlight.
