Sorry this turned out to be less of a discussion and more a rant.

I'm just done. I don't care anymore if it's a good show. There were certain older movies where some nudity actually made sense to the overall story, and I've never been one who's against tastefully done sex scenes without the actual romp. Maybe I'm just old. But I honestly really really hate the current type of explicit sex and total female nudity being shoved down my throat by infusing them with good TV. I'm done. I don't care. I've lost interest and if these show up, I'm abandoning the shows no matter how "amazing" it is or supposed to be.

When I think about it, showing women's breasts on films actually always made me uncomfortable. It was something I had to condition myself to get used to when I got old enough to watch mature adult movies. We were all mass indoctrinated to accept it as ok.

And now, cable TV shows just use any reason or no reason at all to insert full frontal nudity of women when such scenes are totally unnecessary. And if I'm watching or following a show, I'm stuck having to watch it, for what? Certainly not MY pleasure. I'm a "prude"? Fuck off. Let me turn around and ask: How is it that in this everything goes, "sex positive" age, they're still so teehee don't show the dicks? Why is the entire Hollywood and society so fucking prudish still about male frontal nudity? Afraid to show they've got toothpicks for penises? Must protect the female gazes at their manhood lest we can criticize their shortcomings? (Yeah pun intended.) So fuck anyone who say "I" am the "prude".

And the explicit sex scenes. How are they not soft porn at this point? Why am I being held hostage to watch porn if I just want to watch a good TV show? Why is this a condition to me who's just a TV viewer? One thing that I really notice about today's sex scenes vs. sex scenes in my younger days is today's total void and lack of love and romance. It's just hump hump hump. I'm sorry but these dumb scenes make my stomach churn. IDGAF about the characters or actors going off on each other. How does that enhance the story in ANY way, shape, or form? Oh Jane and Bob got orgasms and so now their marital troubles are over? They can finally deal with their kids now because they humped? They can now solve that murder mystery and catch that hard to capture serial killer? The humped so now they can fight off the Big Bad Evil destroyer in outer space? Gimme a fucking break.

I can enjoy romantic sex scenes, tastefully done without all the pointless humpings, that show two people finally bonding with each other emotionally. Those could be integral to the story. Very integral even. But they don't do those anymore. It's just showing the actresses fully naked and humps.

Up till now, these shit stopped me from recommending shows to friends and families. Yeah, maybe other people don't feel such qualms. But I don't care to spread the word about shows with such exploitative content. And it definitely constrained me from recommending shows to mature minors even when there are otherwise good themes in the shows.

Now? I'm done. I'm fucking done. Up theirs and to hell with them. I paid for my TV services and I'm not paying to watch shit I don't want to watch. I don't fucking care how "good" the shows are. I stopped watching Game of Thrones because I couldn't stomach the upcoming scene of Cersei being paraded naked on the streets. That fucking show started the whole trend of bombarding TV shows with full frontal female nudity. Hollywood can strike till they burn themselves for all I care if this is the kind of crap they're going to make anyway. I'm not watching. I'm not buying. They can take their stuff and go shove it.
