SpoilerAmerican Nightmare
This is a fascinating show and I’m very much enjoying it. There is discussion of sexual violence though, but I think it’s done as non-sensationalist as possible.
But…. Spoilers because it’s in episode 3…
Hearing all the different women talk about ALL THE TIMES their claims of sexual assault weren’t believed is making my blood boil. I’m sorry: the police went to one girl’s BOYFRIEND to ask if she was “attention seeking”…? WTAF.
I was just thinking it might be time for my yearly rewatch of Unbelievable because nothing makes me feel better than female cops who nail a rapist. (Also: guess who solves this crime? A female detective. I mean it’s great but makes me sad because there are so few of them! We shouldn’t need only women to believe women!!)
