Anyone else fast forward fight/violent/cruelty scenes?
I finally got around to watching Peaky Blinders. It was based around the gang life of Britain so obviously, it was going to have violent sections - so I fast-forwarded a lot of bits just to follow the storylines. I realize I've been doing this for quite some time. I think I started with Lord of the Rings where unless the characters were saying something relevant to the story arc I'd just fast-forward all the battle scenes. Probably the only violent scenes in Game of Thrones I watched were the dragons doing their thing.
I refuse to watch torture & cruelty scenes. I get it - the bad guy is bad. So many of these scenes are just blah blah filler to me.
Is there a demographic like me that just hates all the torture/violence porn but doesn't want to be relegated to the sickly sweet daytime movie genre?
