Quite a bit of goodies to check out! : https://www.reddit.com/r/shoujo/comments/1g8qrfc/many_female_written_anime_airing_this_season/
I really wish manwha was getting adapted more often. Japanese culture afaik doesn't have as strong a feminist movement as SK and it shows in their female written media.
Know any Manhwa that got adapted into animation?
I haven't watched anime in a while and dont keep up as much but I've been meaning to start Dr Elise since I read the manwha.
Oh that one seems so cute I will definitely be checking it out! :) The only Manhwa I know that got an animated adaptation is Lookism but I only watched 1 episode so far... And I didn't even finish it yet... XD
Blue Exorcist was sooooo damn boring. I really tried to watch the whole thing. But it was giving me nothing. Maybe I'll try again.
Oh neat! It's nice to see more female writers get the spotlight. It's too bad that shoujo/josei never really interested me, being a female shonenshitter is suffering 😔
Fullmetal Alchemist is a good show that was written by a woman and isn't a romance/josei.
I also recommend Rumiko Takahashi's lesser know works like Mermaid Forest (though they're hard to find because most people only know her for her goofy rom-coms like Ranma)
And, of course, A Silent Voice is one of the greatest movies ever made
Oh I know about FMA, it's my favorite manga series 👌
There are Shonen and Seinen series made by women too like InuYasha!
I need a dose of action, intrigue and violence in the anime or frankly it feels as a waste of animation. But I also cringe with the stupid harem every mc get nowadays. I am doomed
