No reason to ever talk about ...
Really? None at all? Not ever?
Sounds like something a shockingly uninformed male might say, tbh. But even men sometimes need to consider their birth sex ... such as when it comes time to consider their heart attack risk, their risk of an abdominal aneurysm, their prostate health, and so on.
But carry on, I suppose, if you don't think any of that is truly necessary.
He says there's no reason to ever talk about it, yet he opened that very sentence with "I am a trans woman," i.e. "I identify as a woman but my sex is male."
“No one is trying to erase biological sex! Don’t be ridiculous!”
Then five minutes later:
“There is no reason to refer to, or acknowledge a person’s biological sex!”
sex is an important variable when interpreting biomarkers for many diseases. i.e. they vary between men and women for different types of cancer, not just hormone or anatomy specific ones, and for the stage.
they go on about how important it is for them to get the healthcare they want, but want to make it impossible to get healthcare they might need. not that i particularly care about whether they cause themselves unnecessary pain and early deaths because of their narcissistic desire to force everyone to comply with their ridiculous notions.
i'd treat every TIM like a woman in medical settings (apart from wards, give them their own rooms as they're probably insufferable for other patients anyway), starting by dismissing their concerns and symptoms up to interpreting diagnostic markers that would be a red flag in males but normal in females as the latter, bypassing the gynae because no one deserves that.
The comments when that is brought up among the "trans" all really wind up being about what this man says. It's a way to make it clear that men are always men. The men larping as women especially hate when people (especially lesbians) put "AFABs only" on profiles in dating apps. lol
There will always be words and criteria that will exclude these men from the category they don't belong to, no matter how many words for women, girls, female humans they appropriate and hoard, because they will never be one and anyone with eyes can see they're not the same (and anyone without eyes but with working ears can still hear a whole-ass man when they speak).
Ok, but I don’t ever want to hear another TiM whine about lesbians being sexual racists ever again. I mean biological sex is never relevant in any situation, right? “Princess wands” and inverted dicks are totally different from cis penises, right? So no more tantrums over “cis” lesbians rejecting you.
From what I've seen the enbies like to use amab and afab a lot because, surprise suprise, the amabs want to still be able to complain about the afabs endlessly and you can't do that while pretending they're all the same.
"Cis" and "trans" similarly reference sex, in their own way. But again it seems like plenty of TIMs would never get rid of the "trans" in front of woman because to them it signifies that they're the "superior women" 🙄
So in short, referencing sex is bad unless it's used to the advantage of males.
on tumblr, TME and TMA are the new thing. TME meaning “transmisogyny exempt” and TMA meaning “transmisogyny affected” (“transmisogyny” meaning oppression faced by TiMs). so it’s basically a new way to signal your sex since obviously only males are “transmisogyny affected” and only females are “transmisogyny exempt”, but it also caters to the poor oppressed males
HAHAH WHAT. It gets dumber with each twist of language.
Right, I almost forgot about that one! I learned what those terms stood for when someone on radblr put TMA in her bio as she considered herself to be affected by the misogyny of trans people 😂
That’s brilliant.
I am definitely going to ask the first person who lays this one on me to explain it to this little old grey haired lady. It's a precious gift, because I cannot see how anyone can explain it without entangling themselves in the unspeakable matter of S E X.
