I think it would quell some of the unrest many trans people on social media seem to have. That they are somehow being hunted by merciless Nazis and must do anything and everything to defend themselves. Reddit is really doing a disservice to everyone by deleting these rational comments. Sometimes hearing differing opinions expands your own thought process. Reddit is not allowing any conversation and that's the worst way to handle an issue as tense as this one.
It's because this is literal cult ideology, not figuratively. Ramping up feelings of persecution and an 'us against the world' mentality, othering and demonizing outsiders, promoting the idea of living under constant life or death threat and stoking both vague and explicit (but often fabricated) fears is an extremely important control mechanism that cults use over and over again to manipulate followers and keep them in the fold. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

I've called gender ideology a cult many times. I never thought they would go full manson family as they have seemed to do in the last 48 hours. This is insane. Is this how it ends?

Seemingly not, as the police both in the UK and NZ have shown themselves to be on the side of the cult. The pink+blue flag is effectively a get-out-of-jail-free card (along with certain environmental slogans that allow people to block roads, hurl paint around, or deface works of art with no real consequences)
At this point, perhaps the only force that can end the insanity is the trans community itself, if the more reasonable transitioners (who want to treat their dysphoria and get on with life) start to eject the violent revolutionaries from their 'community'.
Right now, the masked thugs and predators clinging to 'trans' as a political identity are poisoning the whole of LGBTQ+, and LGBTQ+ people are a whole are going to suffer an unfair backlash if these bad people and bad tactics aren't kicked out.
Can't see it happening though. To get the thugs away from their protests they'd have to admit that they're not fighting 'nazis' or 'fascists' but merely opposing moderate conservatives, religious people, 2nd-wave feminists, etc. And if you can't convince the world why you're right but your opponents are wrong, simply yelling nazi/fascist (and sometimes inciting violence) has proven to be a very effective strategy :(

I know of another TIF in Colorado, maybe a year back? She was one of a pair; her 'partner' in murdering kids was a guy. Several other trans spree shooters beyond that, but that's the only other in a school I know of top of head.

Not sure there's a much bigger red flag than not being able to call out your own community for things everyone can see. Everyone knows.
...and coming back to this. What exactly does this guy think "TERFs" are? All we've ever been to be labelled that is dissenting women, there isn't some secret cabal of violent fascist radfems proposing evil nazi-adjacent things, just feminists continuing to be feminists and women more broadly continuing to say no.
I briefly looked over this person's post history. She appears to be a sincere and articulate FtM detransitioner who still uses the cult's language to speak to them.
