Men provide a lot actually. Theyāre the #1 providers of added stress, anxiety, misery, and abuse.
Ooh ooh don't forget the sole providers of skidmarks you have to clean!
Is it gay for them to clean their asses or something??
My adult brother once asked me how women prevented skid marks. I was like, āUh, you wipe until thereās nothing left?ā
This man was FLOORED that youāre supposed to wipe your ass more than once.
Ok, I am now floored
Iā¦butā¦.doesnāt?ā¦.howā¦
You would think the irritation and moisture (vomit) would bother them, but I guess that's better than risking being gay!
Legitimately I have read some mean believing it's gay to spread their cheeks for anything. Including fucking soap
I think thereās a joke that goes
A man who farts in church, sits in his own pew
It really frustrates me that there is absolutely no comment or criticism about men dating a woman simply for her looks and youth,
Anna Nicole Smith married an elderly billionaire and got termed a gold digger
he wasnāt dragged for marrying someone who could be his great granddaughter
but if a woman with looks and youth doesnāt go for some slob loser, then sheās a gold digger.
Il
Totally agreed!
Years ago, way before being a presidential candidate was even a glimmer of a thought in Trump's head, Melania was being interviewed. I think the interviewer questioned her about her reasons for marrying Trump (e.g. was it money?) and I remember her replying something along the lines of "well, would Donald have married me if I was ugly wasn't beautiful?" Basically pointing out that exact double standard.
That response has stuck with me all these years, and yet decades later, we're still seeing women questioned for marrying a man with wealth, but men are not questioned as much when marrying a young and/or beautiful woman.
Edit: I remember now that the question from the interviewer was along the lines of "Would you have married Donald if he wasn't wealthy?". And then she gave her response above.
Western women are not supposed to know this
Many Eastern European women I know seem to understand the transactional nature of this , and refuse to take the one sided shame for it
Good for the Eastern European women. Do you know, whether their consciousness of the transactions leads to better arrangements for them? Do they insist on nannies and cooks before they agree to marry, for example?
Definitely
I guess the main thing I see is the lack of self martyrdom or apology for getting what they want
Iām not describing it well, but Iām not seeing them guilted into things like I feel I and women around me were raised with
Many of my generation survived the instability of the 90ās in Eastern Europe.
They didnāt have all these āgo for the ugly croonerā movies because he has a heart of gold
And they absolutely do not have the ābuild a manā mentality where āif you just breathe life into himā he will flourish and love you for itā. No he will either be an energy suck and not improve, or he will improve and dump you for someone else
i guess the main thing I see is the lack of self martyrdom or apology for getting what they want
Most of them didn't get what they want. This comes off like you think EE women are just naturally "gold diggers" or something and only enter relationships for money, and that's supposed to be empowering for them? Or positive for them?
Melania is a horrible example and not at all representative of the average EE woman, especially not one that feels they need to enter into a relationship like this. She already came from a wealthy family and was able to enter modeling at 16. The vast majority of EE women don't wind up like her. Not at all.
Most EE women wind up in transactional relationships because of poverty and lack of opportunity. Not because they specifically want to use men for their money and don't care about anything else or some such nonsense. The vast majority of them do not have the privilege of demanding whatever they want from some skeezy dude who has more money than them. They are at the whim of the man, much like a sugar baby is at the whim of her "sugar daddy". They can't just demand he buy her designer shit or a car or whatever and she'll think about maybe marrying him. That's not how this works at all. Not to mention that we're not just some cold calculating ice queens. We'd also like loving relationships. But our countries are horribly misogynistic and men beat us like crazy. Why would we even think a loving relationship was a possibility? I don't see that as a positive thing.
Posing these relationships like the women are just using the men for their money and winning out is unrealistic and not too much unlike the false idea that prostitutes have the power. Most of the women don't wind up marrying some mega rich dude and living life in Mar a Lago.
Also, we've had American media in Eastern Europe for a while now. We've seen the shitty movies. EE women have a bleaker and more logical viewpoint of relationships because EE is incredibly misogynistic. The domestic violence rates in my home country are insane. Of course no EE woman thinks she can build a man or breathe life into him. He'd beat her for even suggesting anything about him might need to change! Of course we have a more negative, pessimistic view of men.
Iām not describing it well, but Iām not seeing them guilted into things like I feel I and women around me were raised with
Im curious what you mean by this because EE women in transactional relationships are...in...transactional relationships. It is in the word. They do things they absolutely do not want to do for the money. Typically because they need it.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying and you can correct me if that's the case. But I feel like the viewpoint you have of EE women's lives isn't very realistic or accurate.
I donāt even believe in the word āgold diggerā
In the US men are admired for marrying a younger woman because she is beautiful and ānice enoughā
And yet somehow, there will be whispers about āis she really in love?ā They question her motives, not his
I felt a lot of pressure to lower my standards and āgive a guy a chance, heās niceā. I, and girls/women I knew were urged to give a guy a chance. Donāt you see how happy you can make him?
I donāt see any of this in my husbandās family. They are a mix of EE and Caucasian (in the Eastern sense of the word. I donāt mean āwhiteā like caucasian means in the west)
Some of my friends actually were/are āmail order bridesā. Some married within my husbandās extended family to get to come here. Some who married western men
I see a lot of idealism and silliness in people from the US who are my age. Meanwhile, without exception, the EE women I met were practical. They wouldnāt marry trolls, but they also didnāt think they could kiss frogs and make a princeā¦..and from the perspective that frogs are entitled to the chance to become a prince.
Maybe itās different for the people who came when my friends/family came over. Maybe itās different if the women are part Tatar or are Caucasian.
I think many of us American women unfortunately suffer from the "life is fair" disease. We're taught that people get what they deserve, which causes us to internalize our misfortunes as if they are our own fault. Eastern Europeans seem more free of this.
I really grew to hate the āGod only gives you what you can handleā people when my little boy was diagnosed with nonverbal autism
Is he being punished because I try to stay strong?
So, can he get better if I spiral and decompensate?!?
Very interesting.
The rom com era was a mess. Im glad Eastern European women aren't falling for the scam.
Honestly, I donāt think they had the luxury of āit will all work out in the endā
So they had to rely on āwell, Iām strong enough to survive what comesā which is such a better message
Rom com? You mean romantic comedies?
Yes.
Yuck most romantic comedies from US of Murica are indeed horrible! I prefer romantic media from places like Latin America, Japan, South Korea and China...
The males tend to be good looking ( lots of Bishonen everywhere in Japanese media for female audiences ) and they also tend to be badass and successful people in life... XD
Women need to stop letting shows with beautiful women ending up with ugly males influence them...
That stuff is probably a type of social grooming from ugly moids from US of A for grooming conventionally attractive women to lower their standards so males like these ugly moids can have a chance at reproduction with a woman out of their league... Yuck...!
Crooner?
Loser with guitar with ok voice
Itās an old word. I loved when Mr Burns in the Simpsons kidnapped Tom Jones to learn how to be a āladies manā. Forgot how it was used but it amused me
Most of us don't or didn't have the privilege to be demanding all this crap. Most Eastern European women that end up in these sorts of relationships end up there because of poverty they experience in their home country. Not to mention that eastern Europe is still thoroughly more misogynistic than America so being able to immigrate here gives them some hope of a better future, amongst numerous other problems there. Like I'm Eastern European, this really isn't a realistic way to view this situation.
Everyone agrees that picking a woman for her looks is normal and right -- makes perfect sense!
Everyone also agrees that picking a man for his money is selfish, greedy and disgusting.
I'm tired y'all š®āšØš®āšØš®āšØ
My favourite Futurama joke (when the professor gets a young girlfriend) is "some say I'm robbing the cradle. I say she's robbing the grave"
Iāve been saying for years that we were sold a bunch of bs. Go to work for 40-50 hours per week plus do a second workload once we get home? I watched my mother do this for decades and have no friends, no social life, and no hobbies. All she did was work and chores. Gee, how modern and feminist.
Amen!
Most women don't have the option to be stay at home wives and mothers anymore. And these scrotes dare to call us gold diggers when we have to work full time AND do most of the housework and child care
Also, most men whining about gold diggers don't have any gold to dig. They act as if we want to steal their PokƩmon card collection and their PS5
All this time I could have attached myself to some scrote and absconded with his anime waifu pillow!!
Plus enough DNA to start an ugly and inept village
If I throw someone in a river and then jump in to save them from drowning, am I really a hero?
Men can't create a society where women couldn't do anything they could, and could only hope to have a decent life by marrying a man well off, and then complain about "gold diggers". They can't go on and on how they're the "providers for women" and then tell us something is a "woman's job" when we ask them to actually fucking provide
Men are so good at manipulating the narrative. More men than women are gold diggers and more men than women are baby trapping their partner but it is women who got labeled as such.
They're outraged when women do those things because they think they're the only ones who should be able to use such manipulative tactics, not because they think they're immoral actions. They just think they're too good to be duped by a woman and they're offended and emasculated when they are (or unfairly think they are). And as we know, the only way for a man to get ahead of feeling emasculated is to throw an angry mantrum. Them's the rules.
I always encourage women to re-frame the "stay at home" role in this manner.
"I provide my husband with unpaid household management and childcare labor to enable him to pursue paid employment and career advancement."
The idea that the man who receives pay and advancement for his labor is providing for the woman who labors on his behalf without any pay or advancement is backwards.
