Wow. Kid’s mom loves him and a stranger on the Internet is unsurprisingly awful.
This is what the entire world needs to see. That a response to a pretty insane proposal, “Hey, Mom, I’m actually a girl,” was listened to and his mom went and did her due diligence and came back with fairly reasonable arguments and a decision to not jump in with both feet. A hot minute ago, this was seen as GOOD PARENTING. Teenagers are notoriously impulsive and their brains are not fully mature. This has positive AND negative issues and we societally understand that parents still have authority over their teens to mitigate the NEGATIVE SITUATIONS.

The commenter is trying to say detransitioners are rare. Total nonsense. How do I know? The NHS is setting up a clinic just for detransitioners. Came here to say this! Legitimate surgeries done if medical necessity don’t have a 99% success rate, much less the mutilations done in the name of SRS that are mostly experimental. The sad thing is that many people will believe these numbers.
