I hope this is a trend. I sometimes can't understand the cognitive dissonance. I was chatting with some online friends who don't know I'm gender critical, and they are talking about the importance of woman spaces and woman being able to say no. What makes me sad is that I know they fall into TRA camp, so they don't see that this should also apply to trans woman. It makes me so frustrated! Like so close, except for this massive blind spot. I know I should be more angry at the TIMs, and I am. I'm just also still so...disappointed I guess, at least outside this space.

There’s a youtuber who I generally like and who is very GNC but is not trans or non-binary (a rarity these days online it seems) but she did a video recently discussing the TradWife trend and feminism on tiktok and it was so frustrating to hear the inevitable detour into how transwomen were also affected and suffering, and all the rampant transphobia inherent in this phenomenon.

Holyyy shit it’s such a weird thing to hear someone talk about women not being able to open bank accounts in the 70s and how women didn’t used to have a choice in being “traditional” and then derail into a TRA spiel.

It always makes me think of those (prominent, famous) AGPs who post long rants about how women are made to be fucktoy slaves, and that’s how they knew they were women, and these are the people she’s defending?

It's so disheartening. How come any mention of woman's oppression has to include people who were born with male privilege? I've been having one of those days where I'm extra frustrated and over it after having to side step the whole JK Rowling is the worst conversation with a fandom acquaintance. People I like and generally agree with yet when it comes to woman's rights, we aren't aligned. Plus the narrative that we are the monsters for not buying into gender ideology always makes me feel even worse about all of it.

Meetup seems to be more hands off as long as the boundary setting (ie: excluding TIMs) is "implicit" but clear enough for the men to know they won't be invited into the Meetup group or to any events. And that even if they manage to deceive their way into one event, they will never be invited back. The whole purpose of Meetup seems to be to allow people to choose only who they want to meet up with.

This is the Radical Feminist Circle to document the various illogical, incorrect, misogynistic, racist, and otherwise caustic rhetoric spouted from TRAs and MRAs in their own words.
