Let's say he did this same thing because a black lady went in first. That's something that can happen too. Do you think in that case the black lady should feel ashamed and like she made the wrong choice? No, the racist guy would be entirely at fault. Maybe she'd feel that anyway, but like you, she should reassure herself that she did the right thing and that guy's problems are outside of her control.
