Cool. Meanwhile, even mere "cis" women aren't entitled to experience pregnancy. Age, infertility, and lack of a suitable partner may prevent it. Perhaps the federal government should draft young men with high IQs and good physical health to father and financially contribute to the children of willing mothers.
I wish I could upvote this more than once
Isn't it the logical flip side of "enforced monogamy" or government-mandated prostitutes for incels?
I knew this was going to be a bigger issueâŚI just canât believe that itâs gotten this big this quickly. âThe Danish Girlâ issue as I like to call it, because apparently women are nothing but objects to be harvested from at this point /s
Awful.
We need to have the option to say no or Iâm taking my name out of the donor registry.
I will not have my body parts use to satisfy the womb-inations of some wackadoodle.
women (i.e actually female people) who for whatever reason find themselves unable to conceive arguably aren't "entitled to the experience of pregnancy". so, no.
Why deserve? Deserve from who? Does he want to place a complaint with Mother Nature that he was born male? Unfortunately for him Mother Nature is a TERF.
Well so was I but I'm not going to demand it because I missed out.
One of the reasons I missed out was because I knew a child was a lifelong commitment that I wasn't ready to do alone via donor etc
They donât even want the child.
They want to have some sort of âforced pregnancyâ fetish and wank for 9 months.
You got stymied by thinking of.......the child and the responsibilities.
Interesting how itâs âexperience pregnancyâ and not âraise a human being for at least 18 yearsâ.
Almost like itâs sexually motivated.
Itâs definitely sexually motivated. Iâm one of the few women I know who didnât actively mind or hate pregnancy and everything that goes with it. Itâs something we put up with because we want a baby more than itâs an enjoyable experience.
I really, really wish the realities of how much pregnancy itself sucks (let alone birth) would be talked about. I âthink we keep silent about how truly awful pregnancy itself is because it would dissuade a lot of women from doing it.
For instance, I'm glad we're switching from "morning sickness" to "nausea and vomiting during pregnancy", or NVP. Morning sickness is such a cutesy misinformed phrase to describe something that can actually be so horrific and so draining that you die. Women are accused of being too delicate or hysterical when they can't stop vomiting during pregnancy. It's brushed off so callously and casually, when in reality it's a really fucking serious issue. I mean, Emily Bronte died of hyperemesis gravidarum! (lots of women have but, she's famous) You can literally vomit yourself to death in early pregnancy. Like, why aren't we warning women before they get pregnant that that could happen??
Would a man be OK with vomiting every few minutes? Literally every few minutes for potentially 9 entire months. And if nothing comes up you dry heave anyway, literally never stopping even as you start coughing up blood. Eventually you either go to the hospital for emergency treatment or you just vomit in your sleep, suffocate, and die. Or die from an electrolyte imbalance.
Sorry this turned into a weird rant about HG (it's seriously so fucking awful and I had never heard about it even ONCE prior to my HG pregnancy, I wasn't prepared at all and spent a lot of time in the hospital getting the stink eye and being accused of faking because I "hated my baby")
Something tells me they'll demand their money back from the surgeon if they happen to be one of the lucky "women" who get HG and watch their lives, minds, and health collapse.
Men don't actually want the reality of being pregnant, not even women want the reality of being pregnant. It's a full blown waking nightmare for a lot of women.
Yes! Two of my friends had HG and it was horrific, they had to have IV drips and steroids if memory serves correctly. My experience of pregnancy is also negative - my first was ectopic and had to have emergency surgery. My second started as twins, but I lost Twin B after 8 weeks. Pregnancy is not glamorous, or whimsical, or cutesy. It's not an experience, like a fairground ride. It can be life or death.
Yeah, I hear you. My first pregnancy I spent an entire weekend vomiting or sleeping on the bathroom floor (lost that one), second one was about 18 hours of constant vomiting and then weeks of constant nausea (first child), and then I was just constantly nauseated and almost unable to function with my second child for about 3 months. I did not have HG, just run of the mill âmorning sicknessâ. If Iâm pregnant again, Iâm taking the meds my obgyn offered the last time I was pregnant and I chose to suffer instead (which is dumb, donât be me fellow gc women).
The only good part about pregnancy is feeling baby move and thatâs only if the kid isnât strong enough to break bones because fetuses can actually break womenâs ribs by their kicks. We donât talk about pelvic prolapse (I have this), abdominal separation (I have this), or any of the serious or chronic health problems caused by pregnancy or birth. I think it has more to do with misogyny and shame around womenâs health issues than women wanting to protect other women from the full knowledge.
I suggest you look into the differences between normal MS and HG. It sounds like you had HG. Hereâs a chart:
https://images.app.goo.gl/Ecz9oL5hniWwRBTPA
If you werenât functional thatâs not normal.
I will look at it. Since I didnât throw up once and I was able to eat and drink (just sufferingly), I didnât consider it as anything more than run of the mill.
Charlotte, not Emily.
I am a fan of using the term hyperemesis because it reinforces how all consuming it is. Not just nausea on waking.
I had HG during both pregnancies and would have died in week 6 with my daughter if not for IV fluids. I hadnât even kept water down in 2 days. My husband forced me into the ER. I still didnât think anything was wrong because morning sickness is supposed to suck, right?
I had heard of HG but didnât know I had it until I did some proper research on it. I could have died but medical staff said it was âjust morning sickness.â
Phenergan saved my life when I had HG, complete with projectile vomiting. I was literally 20 lbs lighter at the end of my pregnancy than when it started. Thankfully I had a huge healthy baby but it was a nightmare.
I had no idea you could die from morning sickness. Now I feel way less dramatic about kind of halfway seriously considering an abortion about 9 weeks in. I did nothing but puke from 6-12 weeks, it was terrible. And I very much wanted my baby, more than anything, but that was super hard.
That was Charlotte Bronte - Emily died of TB.
The Duchess of Cambridge suffered it with all her pregnancies, too. She was hospitalised during the first.
I remember that. That was the first time I had ever heard of HG.
Same here.
I had hg at 17 and it was awful and traumatizing. I also never heard of it before it happened to me. These men would be in for a rude awakening if they knew the realities of being female.
Someone I know just had a baby, and when I last saw her she was clearly uncomfortable. The idea that men are out there getting off to it skeeves me out.
These men shouldnât be allowed near babies.
Iâm sure she was. Pregnancy is such a disaster on womenâs bodies.
Thereâs a group of women out there on FB that only view pregnancy and birth as an art performance. Itâs all about the âexperienceâ and itâs against their rules to tell them, âHoly shit, those symptoms are terrifying, you need to see a doctor.â Because hospitals donât fit the experience.
Theyâve killed numerous babies and a few women.
Oh they definitely exist, I was just thinking of the women I personally know. We all basically hated it.
Yeah, I loved being pregnant for the most part, but it was only because I could feel my kid kicking and moving around and stuff. I just loved him so much and was so excited about him. I absolutely hated the first trimester from weeks 6-12, though....
Movements was the only part I enjoyed and ultrasounds because itâs just fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing bits of an mri I had once too.
I know!!!
You never hear about the AGP males who transition after their female partner has a baby taking over diapers and night feeds.
Itâs all about her having to comfort a male that he canât:
Experience pregnancy (TRANSLation wank for 9 months about a forced breeding fantasy)
Breastfeed: (TRANSlation) have âbig mommy milkersâ -yes I read one saying that)
