Prostaglandins produced in response to the breakdown of the uterine lining can spill over to the surrounding muscles, that's why women can get back pain, cramps down their legs, and gastrointestinal cramping. But the breakdown of the uterine lining is what causes the Prostaglandin production not estrogen or any other exogenous hormones TIMs take.
