They may or may not be happy to have their child dating a trans person regardless of who's in office. And so what if your partner's parents don't like you? Join the club. It happens to plenty of people. Either way, even the most conservative and disapproving parents are no physical threat.

And this nonsense about being arrested for using the restroom at a wedding venue. Use the men's room, or use a gender-neutral restroom. A large venue would probably have one.
