The egregious filters are rapidly becoming an obvious tell in and of themselves. My Nigel saw the insta post while looking over my shoulder and said "ew, who is that man?" 😂

That is hilarious. He's really gone to seed.
Even his Berkeley contact page picture is showing his decline and is far more in-line with what a woman would do instead of the weird-o glamour shot he used to have.

I got a haircut a few days ago and my stylist was telling me people are coming in asking for colors that just can't be achieved. When he tells them there is no product he can use to do what they want, they say they saw someone on Instagram with that color. He said, "You'd think the didn't know about filters!"
People go to PLASTIC SURGEONS and ask to look like they do with IG filters on.
I swear to God I think some people would enter the Matrix willingly just so they can become their avatar.
Isn't that what the whole NFT thing is about??? Creating a fake world for this very thing?

I've seen other pictures of Lavery during the pandemic and yes, he looks like that on the right.
Serious question: do we think that the ability to easily photoshop your own images has led to the explosion of idiot men insisting they pass as female? I used to believe that it was just your average male narcissism but this can't be helping.
Soooo many of them post actual unfiltered pics of them in too tight, revealing clothing that no, I think they are delusional and actually think they are that good looking.
Studies show that women think less of their own looks and men think more of their own looks than neutral observers would rate them.
A solid 6 male would rate himself an 8.
A solid 6 female would rate herself a 4.
While being narcissistic is a huge part of it, I'm convinced it's also a power-trip. These are always ugly, creepy guys. In real life, they're losers that women wouldn't date.
Having their cringe photos called 'beautiful', 'brave', and 'stunning' and women defend them on the internet while they are being openly misogynistic... they must be completely convinced of their own superiority and women's stupidity.
I keep saying, the other day someone posted a reddit thing from this Asian TIM and he kept uploading both selfies and self portraits. The self portraits were of some tween anime girl dressed like him with a similar haircut. It was like he actually saw himself that way. Very strange.

Some of them, definitely. I quite often see 'do I pass?' pictures where the face is clearly airbrushed to hell, the whole thing looks like it's been painted over lol.
oh yeah, "Katy" Katy Perry wanna be Montgomery aka our pal Monty tried to show a picture of him wearing a fuckton of makeup and photoshopped and when you zoom in you can CLEARLY tell both is going on. I was banned from twitter on international women's day I suspect partially from pointing that out and calling Monty a guy 😂
