Women from America and Liberia are have different experiences. Women who are poor and rich have dif experiences.

I probably have more in common with the average cis woman than we both do with Caitlyn Jenner.

The differences between trans and cis women are far less than the difference between many groups of cis women.

I probably have more in common with my boyfriend than with the queen so that must make me a man!!

We aren’t talking about shared opinions or cultural experiences or language or preferences. What women share, we all share. It’s our biology. He does not share that with us. He shares our human biology with us rather than snakes, but what defines us as females is our female biology. Which he doesn’t have.

It really is like some random white stranger showing up to a black family's barbecue picnic and then when they tell random white person, "Please leave. You were not invited, nor do you belong at our picnic," rando freak responds with a lecture about how some black people have albinism.

I have nothing in common with some fugly delusional mentally ill man.

These are paraphillic males who benefitted from male privilege for decades, obtained further privilege by getting to LARP as a woman with everyone disagreeing beaten down into submission, and then getting to lecture those same women about "solidarity". Then, if he gets tired of LARPing, he'll get even more privilege by getting to go back to being a man (with all the privileges that go with it).

Yes, all actual women are aware that rich and poor, straight and lesbian/bisexual, white and racial minority women have different life experiences. However, it doesnt change the fact that issues regarding our biology and female socialization and the expectations place on us (which differ in many different cultures, but the unifying thing is that it is always something that is expected of only women and girls) unite us all. Which is something you will never experience.

I started to recognize this man on Twitter when I saw him reply, more than once, to Rowling and GC tweets with a selfie of him in a dress, saying something along the lines of "Anyway, look at how cute I am!" Predictably, the responses were essentially all "Omg queen! Slay!"

That's all I need to know about this person.

Urgh this is no different to the MRA style arguments that men and women are just as bad as each other and we need to stop taking about gender and focus on that 'fact' that human beings are just shitty.

Pointing out we all have different experiences is not the same as a class analysis. Which concerns identifying how women and girls as a class are treated differently, based on our sexed bodies.

For a start, Erin, we did not choose our bodies. You chose to opt into (or think you've opted into) how society treats women. That in itself is pretty fucking offensive. Then to stand there, applying make-up and lecturing women through some sort of voice synthesiser that we're 'just the same' is offensive as hell.

The single shared aspect of all women is in biology. Once you remove that it is indeed true that the newly defined group 'women' has nothing more in common than any randomly formed group of people. The oppression/discrimination/sexism/misogyny women experience is because of our sex. That's it.

There are some boundaries which are not arbitrary and which cannot simply be ignored, because women, worldwide, are still treated as lesser people for our biology.

Oh Erin. He always has little worthless nuggets for us.

My favorite such comparison is that I have more in common genetically with a female chimpanzee than a male human. That's regardless of what he's wearing.
