RaveTribute to "Work Wife" Relationships
I just lost my "work wife." (To a better opportunity, yay!) I wanted to say there is such a beautiful, productive nature to women teams at work. I think the "wife/spouse" metaphor is so fitting--you work hard together, sometimes you fight, you always make up, you laugh, you rant, you solve problems, you exchange looks and gossip. My work "marriage" was actually longer than my real marriage. I think no one else in my town knows me better. She was the person I could get everything off my chest to. She knows my terfiness, my family problems, my work gripes, my pipe dreams, my foibles and faults.
So here's to work wives! Appreciate the women you work well with! Cheers!
