I realized today (after speedrunning getting my most recent reddit account suspended) that I no longer am at all conflicted about being labelled transphobic.

I am absolutely someone who will be labelled a "transphobe", because I believe:

women are a category defined by sex, not a feeling or "appreciation of beauty"
men telling women what to do is something I have no interest in entertaining, in my personal life but especially in the online spaces I choose to visit in my free time
the people who seek to control womens' spaces in order to force them to be "inclusive" are the sort of people I would happily fight against to the point of being burned at the stake. They're witch finders, cowards, bullies, and universally unlikeable people who have turned to this as a means of feeling powerful.

I'm so glad ovarit exists, I'm so glad I can scrawl this message out and have other women read it. I'm so tired of the endless policing and the empowerment of bullies.

Before posting, please check the list below of other women-only circles to make sure there isn't a community that is dedicated to the topic. Also, please use the feminist circles for feminist topics, such as /o/WomensLiberation and /o/GenderCritical. Posts about male violence belong in /o/NameTheProblem. This circle is not for news about violence.

If any part of your text / link post is about trans, post it to o/GenderCritical. Trans related image posts go in o/TransLogic or o/Radfemmery.

If you post about trans topics in o/Women your post may be locked and / or deleted. We cannot move posts around.

This is a friendly and supportive community for general topics which are not contentious. Posts which start arguments, or which devolve into arguments in the comments, are extremely likely to be removed. This is a friendly and supportive general chat community, not a debate or argument board.

Examples of topics which belong here:

Rants, raves, advice seeking, or discussions about your relationships, jobs, family, pets, hobbies, travels, etc.
Links to random media like music, or funny, silly, or uplifting things like alpaca videos.
Links to various news or articles which don’t fit in other circles and are not about violence, male depravity, the oppression of women, and contentious topics including politics which either belong in other circles or do not lend themselves to friendly, supportive discussion in an ideologically diverse community.
