RaveFriend’s trans-identified daughter update — good news
I’ve posted here before about my friend “Donna”’s trans-identified daughter “Maddie”. A couple of summers ago, Maddie, who is clever but troubled and very online, faked DID. The following summer she adopted a hideous new name and he/him as her new pronoun. Maddie is 14 now and there’s good news: she still has her hideous TIF name but her pronouns have gone from they/them to he/him to “any pronouns”. Donna is incredibly relieved. She knew Maddie wasn’t “true trans”—it was just social contagion—and she could not stick with the he/him pronouns. Now she is using the hideous TIF name but back to she/her. I think Maddie is out of the woods
