I'm so fucking sick and tired of hearing how feminism is a cancer ruining society when A) half the bullshit MRAs complain about is a direct consequence of patriarchal society and B) they have such ridiculous double standards for male and female behavior.
Please, tell me again how it's sooo unfair that men don't get custody of children as often as women do, when patriarchal society decided in the first place that raising a child was a woman's job only. Men act so shocked when their only contribution towards the raising of their child is financial support, and then aren't granted 50/50 custody once their marriage breaks down.
Please tell me more about how female-only scholarships and science-related opportunities are unfair to men when women have been told for CENTURIES that we don't need higher education, and pushed out of science and STEM related jobs by male harassment and toxicity.
Please keep asking why women have the "privilege" of "masking their appearance" with makeup and men don't, when it was men who decided that a woman had to wear makeup and look attractive in order to be accepted in society and keep a job, but men could adhere to any standard of grooming and still be respected.
Please complain about how men are judged for dressing "like women", when patriarchal society decided that being female or even feminine was inherently degrading.
Don't get me wrong, I believe that feminism is for the benefit of women first and foremost, and any potential benefits that come to men as a result are unintentional side effects. But I'm sick of hearing the same regurgitated MRA arguments about how feminism is the eeevil boogeyman taking away men's rights, when pretty much all of their complaints can be traced back to cultural norms created in a patriarchal society.
