AdviceShould I be listed as co-owner on the title to my car?

This might be a stupid question, but I can be stupid about practical things.

My spouse and I went and bought a brand new Mazda CX-5 in December and I signed a bunch of paperwork alongside him, but he had a slightly superior credit score, which allowed us to get the 0% financing. It's understood by both of us that the car belongs to me, but since we are married, I assume everything we own would get cut down the middle if we divorce or be the property of the other spouse if one of us dies.

When we got the title in the mail recently, it listed his name twice instead of showing both of our names. I was there for the sale and my spouse did nothing shady to get his name solely on the title. I don't see why I ended up signing all of this paperwork, though, and having my credit examined, if I am not listed as co-owner of the vehicle.

On the other hand, maybe it somehow protects me, if he or I got into an accident (90% of the time, I'd be driving) and someone wanted to sue?

What do you all think? Should I ask them to correct the title, or leave it as-is?
