So I've been trying to teach my kid about critical thinking and logical fallacies, but the fallacy lessons just don't seem to "click". I happened upon Critikid
Sharpen your child's critical thinking and communication skills with videos and activities about how to spot and respond to logical fallacies.
It is woman owned and operated and the videos are great! They're fun, engaging, and in just a few days, my son is understanding logical fallacies so much better than he was before, after like a year of lessons.
The cost is $10 for Part 1 which includes 10 logical fallacy videos and 2 quizzes. Part 2 isn't out yet. The woman who created it is so intelligent but she explains everything in kid friendly terms.
I'm not affiliated with this company, but I've had such a good experience, I wanted to share.
Thanks for sharing this! I’ve been wanting to find something like this for my kids so they’re better equipped to navigate this crazy world and also equipped to stand up for themselves if their dad ever turns his gaslighting and manipulation tactics on them instead of me.
That is so awesome! I wish children had dedicated critical thinking lessons at every grade level. I think it would be an important part of a curriculum.
There is also a free app/website called Cranky Uncle which teaches about logical fallacies as well, but it's more geared towards teaching teenagers and adults.
Thank you I'll check it out!
