Hi, I just want to say that I am forever grateful to the women who run the website and who contribute by posting and commenting.
Ovarit is one of the best places of the Internet. I am glad it exists.
I also want to say that I haven't always been a feminist, but the more I am - the more I think that feminism is the best ever gift a woman can give to herself.
I do know we are not there yet in terms of fair treatment, but there are still things to celebrate. I hope you all are having a good time today.
Happy IWD to you too!! No one can take this day from us, no matter how hard they try. I’m thankful for this website, I’m thankful for being a woman, and I’m thankful for all the women in my life that have helped me in times of need.
Now more than ever is the time to press on! We need to demand so much more!
Happy IWD! I am glad too that this site exists. Today is our day. No matter how many handmaidens wants to include men in our day (I see you @afrocolectiva, @Feminist and @gatatv). The rest of the world who are not delusion as TIMS and TRA knows that this day is for women, not men. Today my company is going to wear purple shirts and I am going to do it too. 💜
Wasn't there a lot of TiMs getting recognition on this day last year? Any this year?
I don't know how it is in other countries, but in my country, unfortunately, IWD is more like a combination of Mother's day and St Valentine's day:( Men give flowers to women and wish them to stay beautiful. I always try to remind people that IWD is not about that. So while no one talks about transwomen in my country, the way it's celebrated is still far from being a feminist day. But I personally try to celebrate it anyway and make feminists posts on my social media.

It’s my birthday, and I can tell you that for my entire life, NO ONE (MSM or IRL) ever mentioned or celebrated IWD (which has been on my b-day since before I was born) until MEN got to be included in the celebration.
We need to take it back.
