I currently work in housekeeping, or "environmental services" to make it sound fancy at an assisted living home. My mom is trying to get me into her workplace which would be such a huge step up for me.
How exactly do I word my current job to make it sound like more than just cleaning, because I do a lot more than that (I feel).
I do daily cleans and deep cleans, I have to climb ladders every once in a while or snake toilets.
But I also help out residents as much as I'm allowed. I read mail, bring meals and drinks, help out on jackets and shoes. I've called family members, I keep an eye out for fall risk residents and alert the aides.
I've even witnessed a resident I bonded with pass.
I've formed relationships with these people. Most of them have varying degrees of dementia, and others need help using Hoyers and Serrasteady.
How can I put on my resume what all I actually do in a more concise way?
