I am not particularly picky about my clothes, I just want to have good quality and comfortable clothes, in most cases I can wear any colour or any pattern. But it just happened that both me and my partner needed new t-shirts and we went to a sports shop. The male section had lots of cool ones with mountains and I wanted something similar, because we both love hiking. The smallest male size was still big for me, so we went to the women's section and I did not find a single one with mountains (the were about 5 of different designs in the male section). All the women's t-shirt were either plain colour or with some pattern. Meanwhile the male section even had surfing t-shirts with surfboards (we don't even have an ocean in my city).
I have one t-shirt with mountains that I bought in the boys section long time ago in Decathlon when it still operated in Russia.
It's not that I don't like the t-shirts in women's section. I actually like flowery patterns. And as I said I can wear almost anything. Yet I am really pissed by the sheer fact that they don't have some adventurous t-shirts in the women's section. Like really, hiking is not even that male-centred hobby, why can't you make t-shirts with mountains for women?
I saw it yesterday and agree 100%. You expressed my experience perfectly.
I wanted to watch it again immediately after.
I'm seeing it tomorrow. I can't wait! I remember in like 2008 they said the movie would come out in 2016 and it felt so far away to little me. Now it's almost 2025.
I was reluctant to see it because I felt like splitting it into two movies was a cynical cash grab. But I've changed my mind after seeing clips of the film/songs online. Grande and Erivo really are amazing in this movie. I doubt I'll see it in cinema (two hours with no intermission is too much for me LOL). But I'll totally buy it or watch it on streaming
So no trans characters to put up with?
Nope, all clear! However, there's slight homoerotic tension/a moment between Fiyero and one of Glinda's male friends (essentially, he's fawning after him in a comedic scene. It's honestly quite funny, lol).
Excellent!
Having younger children this is what I was wondering.
It might be the kind of magical experience millions of children in the 20th center remember with the Wizard of Oz. Now we have two "favorite movies" based on a classic feminist story, with great music.
