RantReddit thinks women's fear of robbery is "funny"
Posted September 8, 2024 by Elizabelch in Women

https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/1fbwe1z/today_someone_learns_a_lesson/

Everybody in the comments whining about "this is staged and fake" (which it may be, but that's not my point)

Very few questioning what's funny about this video or why we're supposed to get a kick out of a woman trying to protect herself from a possible robbery by throwing her purse, only for the potential robbers to bring her purse back to her because they just needed to get past her to enter their housing complex.

Whether it's real or staged, men and probably some women see "ha ha, stupid emotional woman overreacting" and I see, "woman who has been attacked before and/or knows she could be in danger".

But what do I know, I'm just another Humorless Feminist™

I wish reddit would just die already. It’s a cesspool of misogyny & the world would be much better without it at this point.

If only there was a way to separate the useful from the gross

Right? I wish there was some extension to block all the porn subreddits and male users. Then it wouldn’t be so bad, lol

Fear of robbery is very reasonable when in a place where robbery happens. I guess they wouldn't laugh at kids being afraid of a possible shooting in an American school, but when it's a woman they have to find reasons to call her crazy.

Well, you have to think about the average Redditor male. They'll mock this "stupid emotional woman overreacting" and in the same breath scream chud-dy murder when they scroll down to news of a POC woman as the lead of a nerd show...or franchise for young girls.

In other words, their opinion is of no importance to the human race.

Like the vast majority of men themselves.
