
In 2019, Carroll accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s, eventually filing a defamation lawsuit that November after the former president said he did not know her and she wasn’t his “type.” She filed a second defamation lawsuit in November 2022, alleging defamation and sexual assault. A jury found Trump guilty of defamation and sexual abuse last May, ordering him to pay Carroll $5 million in damages, though it rejected the claim of rape. The first defamation lawsuit went to trial in January, and Trump was ordered to pay Carroll another $83.3 million in damages. In late April, Kaplan upheld the verdict and rejected Trump’s bid for a new trial in Carroll’s case.

Following Carroll’s most recent trial, she and her attorney Roberta Kaplan have repeatedly indicated they would potentially sue Trump again if he continued defaming her.
Oh he ran his mouth again? He doesn't seem to get it. He was ordered not to continue to defame her and yet there he is, defaming her. I am so glad she took him to court over it.
