I know some of you have followed the Delphi Murders since the beginning. Now that Rick Allen has gone to trial (I believe he's guilty), it is absolutely undeniable that women solved this case.
~ Libby took the video of Bridge Guy.
~ All of the Bridge Guy witnesses were women: the group of teenage girls, Betsy B who saw him on the bridge, and Sarah Carbaugh who drove by him after the murders.
~ Despite countless men taking tips and investigating the case for 5 years, secretary Kathy Shank broke the case. She was the one who found the dismissed report putting Rick at the scene and recognized what she had. This was long AFTER Officer Dulin mysteriously forgot he'd spoken to Bridge Guy, AFTER someone mistakenly marked the report as "cleared."
~ Some of the female witnesses and experts have gotten off some amazing zingers and one-liners at the Defense, which has been very amusing to hear.
If Allen is convicted, I really hope everyone gives credit where credit is due. It better not be detectives patting themselves on the back like always because they made some grievous mistakes and their 5 years of investigation went nowhere. This is a victory lap for women.
