🧙‍♀️Feminist and Goddess Spirituality Weekly Post #1
Posted December 23, 2024 by CompassionateGoddess in Women

Rules: This discussion post is for women to discuss feminist and goddess spirituality, not for women to discuss patriarchal religions, male deities of any kind, or anti-spirituality. I realize that some goddesses are a part of some male dominated and patriarchal religions. Those goddesses can and should be discussed here, but they should be discussed from a woman centered and pro-female perspective.

Hello, sisters! I apologize for not having our first Weekly Feminist and Goddess Spirituality Post up sooner. I’ve been having a hard time lately with feeling so low and sleepy, so I just didn’t have the extra energy after my caregiving responsibilities and making sure I stay on top of the book club I’m in charge of over in the Book Circle. Better late than never I always say!

The possibilities for this weekly post are endless! This space could be for us to discuss how we individually practice our spirituality, the goddesses we are currently studying or goddesses we have studied in the past, our current rituals or upcoming rituals, rituals we have completed in the past, resources we have found helpful, our artwork, writings and music dedicated to our feminist/goddess spirituality, other women’s artwork, writings, and music dedicated to feminist/goddess spirituality, books or articles we are reading or have read that talk about women’s feminist/goddess spirituality. There’s probably even more examples of what we could post that I didn’t even think to write down here!

Last week I was able to attend Ruth Barrett and Falcon River’s Women's Solstice Sing-a-long and Solstice Ritual via zoom. I was so nervous because I’d never talked to any of the women there or attended any of the classes (yet!), but every woman there was so welcoming. I only chatted through text, but next time when I attend a class, I will speak and show my face. I asked if I could share the pdf link of all the lyrics to the reclaimed songs that were sung, and I was told that I could share with my online friends. My favorite songs we sang were Holy Lucia and Joy to the World.
