AdviceRecommendations on pregnancy support groups/discords that are lesbian-friendly?
Posted December 27, 2024 by IsThisThingOn in Women

Hi all, I'm an expectant mother and a lesbian, and looking for resources. I've been trying to find an online support group or discord for pregnant women that would be welcoming of lesbians, because in my area many support groups are homophobic and the only "LGBT" pregnancy support group is one explicitly for trans parents (with a secondary focus on "queer") so it really doesn't work for me.

The women of this site are wonderful and I enjoy the pregnancy/parenting discussions I sometimes see here but I really need a place where I can ask for advice that is less public than this venue. Bearing that in mind, I'm not asking anyone to post details here publically either, but if you have any recommendations please DM me.

I’d take them. After all, some men desperately need them. That man is now you.

If you're a man, literally just rip it off the wall, carry it outside, and chuck it in the dumpster. You won't get the backlash a woman would for just making a small negative comment about it

And if they do say something, just look them in the eye and say "you can't force me to participate in trans ideology. I'm not a validation prop!"

Say it in the biggest booming man voice you can muster

Say it in the biggest booming man voice you can muster

For voice acting inspiration, watch the "ITS MAAM" video with the dude in the convenience store 3 times.

Move them to a women's bathroom if you can do it without losing your job

I wish I could remember the name of the movie where I saw this, but the MC was pretending to be her brother so she could play soccer at some (boys only?) school. Among her things were tampons and when a nosy roommate discovered them she was questioned. Her answer: they’re good for stopping nose bleeds!

So, uh… maybe you need to restock your first aid kit? Just keep in mind that part of the movie was meant to be taken comically, not factually.

Was it She’s the Man? Thought it was a cute movie a long time ago. Haven’t seen it in a while.

MisfitMarch 1, 2025

That’s probably it. I liked it when I saw it, too.

I just couldn’t help but remember that scene and have a chuckle at that particular answer to the question, “why would males need tampons?”

Frau_BerchDUHMarch 1, 2025

Tampons were originally invented to plug bullet wounds during war, so she wasn't wrong...

It's 'She's The Man'... 'Sebastian'

The easiest thing would be to hand them to a gender critical woman to place in the ladies room.

Next easiest would be to arrive early/stay late and make the transfer yourself.

Looks like you’ve found yourself a free source of menstrual products! Yoink

sicktodeathMarch 1, 2025

Oh wait. Assumed you were a woman! If you’re a guy, then I agree, now you’ve got a source of menstrual products to donate.

Here are some careful instructions that are guaranteed to help.

Step 1: Stop posting on women's forums or bothering women with your non-problem.

Step 2: Go find, or make, a forum for gender critical men.

Step 3: Post your question about the heinous tampon injustice you've faced, which is of course totally equivalent to what women deal with in the trans fight, on that forum.

If you faithfully and carefully follow this guidance, your situation will improve.

Good advice.

kassandraMarch 2, 2025

I'm in Tranada, not the USA.

Solidarity with the Tranada thing 🤢

SassafrassMarch 1, 2025

I would graffiti the bottom of it saying tmaw/twam

But I’m also self destructive.

YoureKittenMeMarch 1, 2025

You can sticker them.

MobymaybeMarch 1, 2025

Ovarit is for women, go somewhere else.

hellamomzillaMarch 1, 2025

This and the advice of womanwithopinions upthread. Does no one read the Sheila Jeffreys quote at the bottom of every page? Also, add on the man who came posting today who got in a man snit because he thinks “not banned” has to mean “definitely welcome” and when he got any resistance he behaved the way you would totally expect.

I’m not even remotely a separatist or think all men are crap. But men who literally feel a need to join a website made for and by women and who can’t take pushback from women without getting all defensive?

They’re so unselfaware.

FeeriqueMarch 1, 2025

First, why were you in the men's bathroom?

Second, this is not the civil rights rebellion you think it is.

salty-tomorrowMarch 1, 2025(Edited March 1, 2025)

OP is a man
