DiscussionMedia analysis YouTube channels like Novum? (But women)
I sometimes like listening to long YouTube videos analyzing movies when I'm doing my chores. I recently watched this video, an analysis about the movie The VVITCH and i absolutely loved it.
HOWEVER, it is sadly a moid doing the analysis and they always fail to acknowledge points of a woman's perspective. He talks about how we are supposed to distrust Thomasin and meanwhile I was thinking how I trusted her the second I saw her. It's just a woman who would get things like this. Even his midsommar analysis was surprisingly good but there are some points where I'm like hmmm, he may have missed some points.
He does talk about witches and their history of sexism but downplays it a bit and I am just left wishing some lovely woman out there on YouTube would have an 8 hour video analyzing horror media. Please drop any recs if you know them! I've decentered men a lot but unfortunately sometimes miss with TV and YouTube when it comes to niche content.
