AdviceWedding with a TIM cousin attending
I got a save the date for an old friend for her wedding. She has a cousin who’s a TIM.
He’s autistic, gamer nerd. So his dad ran out on him, his mother and sister. Everyone around him affirms him. And they do it because they genuinely believe (or they’re trying to believe) this is his truth. I knew him when he was a child. He had absolutely no interest in anything girly. He’s attracted to women. And the last time I saw him (which was several years ago and back when I was still drinking the kool aid) he wore a tight gothic dress which didn’t fit right, and fishnets. Heavy gothic inspire makeup. And it looked bad. Especially as he’s an overweight guy.
I’m going to this wedding in 6 months. But I’m not stressing, but I am interested in any advice for how to go about with interactions with this guy. He’s 27 now.
I don’t do social media so I have no idea if hes continuing to keep this up. I think he still is. I have already decided personally that if he has decided to try and steal attention away from my friend on her wedding day, I will intervene. These men LOVE attention.
Edit: I have this internal policy to intervene if someone tries to take attention away from the bride for anyone. He’s just the most likely to do this.
