QuestionPrepper podcast
Posted March 29, 2025 by Jernsaxa in Women

I like listening to prepping podcasts, but sadly I've only found podcasts by men, and I'm a little tired of their sense of humour, and that all woman-specific prepping is left out.

Does anyone know a woman hosted podcast about prepping?

The prepping scene is very male dominated. And the men in it are often weirdos whose main focus is on how to defend their hoards with violence.

There's a lot more women interested in actually growing food rather than hoarding it.

If you just want to do what the government is asking, I suppose you can use government resources, but imho, the "have food and water for two weeks" thing is a joke. Serious prepping would involve your own bunker in the garden. (When I think about the state of bunkers in Germany, I get very scared. Most have been repurposed or altogether destroyed.)

I suspect the dearth of female podcasters in that area also has to do with only very few single women having the financial resources to do that kind of thing. (And women who live with men will have their man veto such ideas unless he's a prepper himself.)

Depends on your interests in that space - changing your search terms to small farming, food sovereignty, homesteading, off-grid living, permaculture, etc. Maybe The Female Farmer Project?

Well, those are also interests of mine 😊 But in this case I'm looking for the emergency kind of prepping. It's the kind of prepping we here in Europe are being asked to do in case of Russian attacks on our systems, or in case the water is contaminated, or we are attacked.

Sorry to have to plan for that.

I'd also love to know this. I just power through the male podcasts and try to think of what I'd need to prep special as a woman.
