Exactly. And no one ever talks about it, no matter what awful thing happens. Islamic terrorists? "Complex geopolitical issues." Cop brutality? "Complex systemic racism issues." Mass shootings? "Complex gun laws and complex mental health issues."
It's a complex issue of some sort, but simple male violence is never a factor. Sure, those complex issues are real, but women suffer those same issues and we don't exercise violence anywhere near the same rates.
Yeah exactly. 'Mass shootings and violence are understandable; men are distressed by the difficult economy.' You know who else is distressed by the difficult economy, and more besides? Women.
Why can’t these young men do OnlyFans? Or other sex work? I mean they will get all that sec and attention they say women get so easily
Not to mention all the empowerment that comes with it!!!!! God knows if men need some of that sweet ego-boost that comes only with making yourself a sex object for others.

Every right-wing/anti-woke bro who comments on gender woo is happy to point out that women are physically smaller, slower, and weaker than men.
They virtually never comment on the fact that men are inherently more violent than women.
Its like the Muslim countries that say: "Men go into an animal frenzy if they see a woman's hair or ankle at the grocery store. Which is why men are the most suited for leadership and should be in charge of all major decisions because women are dumb and emotional".
I also saw a tweet that kind of goes along with this one, where men will congratulate themselves for not physically abusing a woman while breaking her spirit and emotionally abusing her at every turn.
I saw another tweet that was like men claim women are more emotional because men have successfully branded anger as ‘not an emotion.’ Sent it to my mom and she was like :-0
There's actually 7 of those exceptional carve-outs. Not just anger/wrath, but also envy, lust, pride, greed, gluttony, and sloth.
That's pretty clearly the whole point of reclassifying these canonically/stereotypically masculine excesses as "sins", n'est-ce pas?
...Oh-so-conveniently masking their true nature as extremes of EMOTION, and retcon-ing them as though they were things that you ••DO•• to excess. 🙄
The cover-up here is just so... shoddy. It's like the theologians were just phoning it in that day, and not even really trying LOL.
I mean, even the slightest attempt to cast these in the same light as other "sins" just makes the whole veneer fall away immediately.
Other sins are ACTS that you COMMIT—commit adultery, commit murder, commit blasphemy, etc etc bla bla bla. But, "commit anger"? "Commit sloth"? Yeah, nah. Those are just childhood emotions over which Women's mastery is assumed.
Yknow what I had never made the connection between the seven deadly sins and male behavior… I was raised in a conservative Protestant denomination and it’s fascinating coming of age and realizing that maybe men do need religion because for some reason they can’t act like decent people without outside strictures placed on their behavior.
yeah... imean, to be fair, it's clear enough that the longing for something transcendent is common to all of humanity.
Wherever there's no religious faith of some kind—whether on the level of a single individual, or on the institutional or tribal level—something else will VERY quickly swoop in to fill the vacuum. At best it'll be some type of genuine spirituality, at worst some woo-woo (like the gender quasi-religion of the current hour) or some narcissistic personality cult.
On the other hand,.. yes, the necessity of some type of metaphysics just to keep ppl in line does seem to be a primarily male need.
The Envy in particular is strong with these ones. The number of posts I have seen or videos of trans people I've watched where they're like "I can't stand to see cis women because I know they'll always be more pretty than me, I secretly hate them" It's a real bafflement to me to see the affirming comments like "u valid uwu" as if it's not just a man saying "I hate women" and having everyone cheer them on because of their magical lady feelz.

You know it's a corrupt ideology when the priests start buying into it and giving it their blessing. One more tool in the belt to get access to vulnerable people and claim they're being "unfairly persecuted" because didn't you know priests are the most holy people on earth who just couldn't sin that way. They're so nice to everyone else in the parish, they couldn't possibly be guilty of objectifying women and children for their own sick sexual gratification.
Yeah. The same legacy lives on in modern medical terminology, too. Lots of choice terminology still in circulation here in the XXI century, like the pudendum and pudendal nerve (Latin "pudendum", literally "thing to be ashamed of")
"Vagina" might even be worse. I mean, you'd think that classical medicine would have at least mustered the equivalent of "birth canal" or something, but... uh... big #nope to that. Vagina in latin means sheath or sleeve, and there's only one thing anybody ever would have had in mind to go inside the scabbard.🙄 Way to demonstrate how traditional patriarchy elevates and honors Women u guise.

They sure as hell recognize anger as an emotion if a woman gets the slightest bit angry over something no matter how justified she is..hence the saying, "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" ..I'm like, good god are they serious? Men are the most viciously vindictive beings to ever walk the earth!
Every single stereotype that’s been pinned on women has been pure projection from my observations. Women are emotional, irrational, obsessed with material goods, gossip, are bad drivers, dramatic, attention-seeking, shallow, gold-diggers? Nah, men do that shit WAYYYY more than women. So much more.
Like the tweet, I knew a guy who broke his hand by punching a tile floor… because he was mad he had to leave the house at 8pm…
Guys will look at a society in which the majority of people say that a woman couldn't be trusted to be president because "what if she got her period and launched the nukes," and then complain about how unfair it is that men aren't allowed to show emotions.
They also need to learn about menopause.

It's true that lots of these are the types of dudes to crack crude jokes about Women amongst themselves, yeah... but a lot of them really ARE oblivious enough (undoubtedly as a result of being similarly oblivious to Wives' and Daughters' needs amd wants) that you can tell the whole idea of menopause and postmenopause has just fallen totally out of the brain pan.
With guys like the kind I have in mind here, there's NO chance of ever confusing "legitimately forgot about x thing completely, out of pure self-absorbed obliviousness" with "quite aware of x thing, and actively making mean-spirited jOkEs about it". Those are two completely different presentations from that set.

It's just amazing to me that rage and anger-induced violence isn't coded as irrational emotion, but sadness is. It's like society gaslights entire emotional categories--one gets validated, one gets invalidated.
Women can talk to their friends
Yes, we cultivate these relationships by being there for others so we have people who can be there for us

let’s break that down
Women are BEGGING for men to be emotionally intelligent, because it would benefit us and our children in countless ways beyond physical safety
Women are typically higher EQ because we build strong, lasting relationships with other women
Men refuse to confide in their friends and provide emotional support amongst each other, because
a) that’s gay
b) they expect women to provide
emotional support
c) they expect women to provide this
without any reciprocal emotional
support, failing to understand that
are there for each other because we know when we need our girls they will be there, failing to understand the change begins with them and their male friendships
Not to mention that even if we were to provide them with free therapy via our emotional support, they typically respect us and our constructive input less than they would a man’s.
Men are the cause of men’s issues. Men are also the cause of women’s issues. Call me crazy, but men are the issue.

I hear/read this so often, can't remember where I replied something like 'how often do we say 'no it's OK', 'really let's just forget it and move on', 'no I'm not mad, it's fine', 'I don't mind at all'.' Tell me again which sex is forced to hide our feelings.

That, and "I deserve to be my authentic self" are some of the biggest lies in gender discourse. No one gets to be 100% authentic, 100% of the time.
Actually, I misspoke. Babies get to be 100% authentic, 100% of the time. Everyone else is supposed to grow up and learn to manage their emotions. Humans are social animals. You can't avail yourself of the benefits of human society without making at least a few sacrifices and compromises to get along with your fellow humans.
